Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

7:00 AM: Depart from Arusha early in the morning, heading towards Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant population and beautiful baobab trees.

Travel Time: About 2 hours to Tarangire National Park.

Late Morning: Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

9:30 AM: Start your first game drive in Tarangire. Explore its stunning landscapes, home to elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and over 500 species of birds. The Tarangire River is a key feature, providing vital water to the park’s wildlife.

Best Time to Spot Wildlife: Morning and late afternoon, when animals are most active.

Afternoon: Picnic Lunch and Extended Game Drive

12:30 PM: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park’s designated areas, while taking in the view of the savannah.

1:30 PM: Continue your game drive, exploring deeper into the park’s varied ecosystems, including wetlands, woodlands, and grassy plains.

Evening: Arrival at Kizumba or Migombani Campsite

4:30 PM: Arrive at the campsite, where you can unwind after a thrilling day. The campsites provide a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a dinner under the stars.

7:00 PM: Enjoy a traditional Tanzanian dinner and settle in for the night.

Overnight: Kizumba or Migombani Campsite.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Morning: Travel to Serengeti National Park

7:00 AM: After breakfast, embark on your journey to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania, including the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Travel Time: Approximately 4 to 5 hours, with chances to stop for photos.

Midday: Arrival in Serengeti National Park

12:30 PM: Enter the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate. The Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration and its endless plains teeming with wildlife. Have lunch and get ready for an exciting afternoon game drive.

Afternoon: Game Drive in Central Serengeti

1:30 PM: Start your game drive in the Serengeti’s central region (Seronera), known for its abundance of wildlife. Spot the “Big Five” (lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes), as well as cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeests.

Scenic Viewing Points: Explore river valleys, kopjes (rocky outcrops), and open grasslands.

Evening: Camping in Serengeti National Park

5:30 PM: Arrive at a designated campsite in the Serengeti, where you will set up camp. Enjoy dinner under the vast African sky, listening to the sounds of the wild around you.

7:00 PM: Relax after dinner and reflect on your safari adventure.

Overnight: Serengeti Campsite.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Morning: Early Game Drive in Serengeti

6:00 AM: Start the day with a sunrise game drive to witness predators hunting in the cool morning air. Early morning in the Serengeti offers the best chance to spot lions, leopards, and other nocturnal wildlife before they retreat from the heat.

Mid-Morning: Breakfast and Departure

8:00 AM: Return to camp for breakfast, then pack up and begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Late Morning: Scenic Drive to Ngorongoro

10:00 AM: Travel through the Serengeti, exiting via the Naabi Hill Gate. En route, you’ll have opportunities to stop at viewpoints overlooking the Ngorongoro highlands and crater.

Travel Time: Approximately 3-4 hours.

Afternoon: Arrival at Ngorongoro Conservation Area

1:30 PM: Arrive at your campsite near the crater rim and enjoy a picnic lunch. The views from the crater rim are simply stunning, with the vast caldera stretching below you.

Evening: Relaxation at the Campsite

5:00 PM: Settle into your campsite near the Ngorongoro Crater. Spend the evening unwinding and enjoying a hot meal after a day of traveling.

7:00 PM: Dinner around the campfire, sharing stories from your journey.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Campsite near the crater rim.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Return to Arusha

Morning: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

6:00 AM: Wake up early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich natural wonders. The crater floor is home to around 30,000 animals, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, and hippos.

Prime Viewing Times: Early morning is ideal for seeing predators such as lions and hyenas in action, as well as the vast herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing in the open plains.

Exploration Zones: The crater features a range of habitats, from open savannah to forested areas and the permanent Lake Magadi, which attracts flocks of flamingos.

Late Morning: Picnic Lunch in the Crater
